BMW's 100 Jahre Nürburgring Editions: Three Bikes, 100 Units
BMW Motorrad built three 100-unit M machines for the Nürburgring centenary: the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR. Here is what each one gets.

What BMW just announced
BMW M and BMW Motorrad have unveiled joint "100 Jahre Nürburgring" anniversary editions, marking 100 years since the Nürburgring first opened. The line-up spans six BMW M cars and three limited-edition BMW Motorrad M models: the M 1000 R, the M 1000 RR, and the M 1000 XR. Each motorcycle edition is limited to just 100 units worldwide, and every one ships with the M Track Package as standard.
What the 100-unit bikes get
The package is the same across all three models:
- Historical Nürburgring Green paint, developed exclusively for the anniversary editions, plus anniversary decals
- Carbon wheels and a black rear swingarm and rear frame
- Alcantara-look seat with embroidered "100" detailing
- A painted Nürburgring silhouette on the fuel tank, with an anniversary-specific airbox cover carrying an individually numbered marking for each bike
- M Cover Kit (M 1000 RR and M 1000 R), an exclusive M motorcycle mat with the 100 Jahre Nürburgring logo, and a rear paddock stand
The numbered marking matters for a 100-unit run. This is a collector's bike first and a track toy second, and BMW knows exactly who it is building them for.
Why the Nürburgring connection runs deep
"The Nordschleife has been part of the DNA of our M models for years," said Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad. "With our special models for the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring, we pay tribute to a place that has made motorsport history and, to this day, shapes the connection between racetrack and road like no other."
BMW M CEO Frank van Meel put it more bluntly: "The Nürburgring is much more than just a racetrack for us. It is a second home for BMW M. All our production vehicles are put through their paces on the Nordschleife."
Pricing and availability
Pricing and availability for the three motorcycles will be announced separately, per BMW. What is known: 100 units of each, worldwide, with the M Track Package standard. If the pattern from BMW's other anniversary runs holds, Canadian allocation will be a handful of units at most, and they will not sit unsold for long.
