What it is

Cardo Systems announced the Rosewood Limited Edition PACKTALK EDGE on September 30, 2026, built around a simple message: "Ride Together, Give Together." It is the company's flagship intercom in an exclusive Rosewood colorway, limited to 500 units worldwide, sold exclusively through the Cardo webstore for 439.95 USD, and it carries a real donation attached: 20 USD from every unit sold goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), with Cardo's total commitment capped at 10,000 USD.

Notably, that is the same price as the standard PackTalk Edge, so the only real difference between the two is the finish and the 20 USD that goes to research.

The hardware

The Rosewood edition is the same PackTalk Edge underneath, which is a good thing: it is the intercom I consider the default recommendation for group riding.

Intercom range is up to 1.6 km (1 mile) between units, and the mesh is brand-agnostic, connecting with other major intercom brands over Bluetooth.

Why it is worth writing about

Plenty of "special editions" are just a color change with a markup. This one is the opposite: same hardware, same price, and a visible nod to a cause that has touched a lot of riding families. Cardo's own framing leans on that, from chief marketing officer Dan Emodi: "We created Rosewood as a way for riders to come together, give back and help support the research working toward a future where fewer families have to experience the impact of this disease."

Cardo is also running its "Ride Together. Give Together." campaign through October, and the company hosts a direct fundraising page for BCRF if you want to donate without buying the unit.

How to get one

The Rosewood Limited Edition is available exclusively through the Cardo webstore for 439.95 USD while the 500 units last, in standard packaging. If the colorway is not your thing, the standard PackTalk Edge has identical specs, and every feature above applies to it equally. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so if you were buying an intercom anyway, this is the version where 20 USD of your money goes somewhere useful.
