ZXMoto 820X Adventure Bike Revealed: A 220 km/h Chinese Triple With Touring Ambitions
ZXMoto’s production 820X adventure bike brings an 85kW triple-cylinder engine, 19/17-inch wheels and a major redesign ahead of its expected 2027 arrival.

A production 820X is now visible
ZXMoto’s 820X adventure bike has moved from EICMA concept to a type-approved production design. The biggest visual change is the front end: the stacked concept headlights have been replaced by side-by-side lamps beneath a much wider windscreen.
The production machine also gets revised bodywork, hand guards and a more serious-looking aluminium bash plate. The approval documents show that the bike can be supplied with crash bars and auxiliary lights, with aluminium luggage available in a heavier touring configuration.

- 819cc three-cylinder engine with 85kW of power.
- Claimed top speed of 220km/h.
- 19-inch front wheel with 120/70 R19 tyre and 17-inch rear with 170/60 R17 tyre.
- 1,575mm wheelbase — the same figure reported for Honda’s Africa Twin.
- 218kg in the simpler approved form, rising to 235kg with panniers and top box.
Why it matters for touring riders
The 820X is not trying to be a lightweight trail bike. At roughly 218kg before luggage, it sits in the big-adventure touring conversation, where highway stability, wind protection, luggage capacity and engine performance matter as much as off-road ambition.
The interesting part is the combination of a strong triple-cylinder engine and a 19/17 wheel setup. That could make the bike a compelling road-focused alternative to heavier established adventure tourers — assuming the suspension calibration, dealer network and long-term parts support are right.
