Moto Morini is stepping into the large-capacity adventure class with a new X-Cape 1200 V-twin. The move is significant because the X-Cape name has been associated with accessible adventure touring; the 1200 pushes it toward riders who want relaxed long-distance performance and more highway authority.
This is not just a displacement arms race. A big adventure bike has to make sense with luggage, a passenger, wind protection and long days in the saddle.
Who could want a 1200?

Pricing and Canadian availability were not confirmed in the launch information I found, so I am not going to invent a number. That detail will decide whether the X-Cape 1200 is a genuine alternative or simply another interesting bike riders admire online.
